Misty Mountain Hop

Actually I'm not a big fan of fantasy stuff, mostly beceause of the philosophical and political subtexts of the stories I've read/seen and the repetition in the visual concepts and storytelling. But I must say that the "Tolkienian" universe has an irresistible charm. And these days I'm a little bit attracted to it. So the other day I had a little fun on my sketchbook around that fantasy universe.

Enfaite Je suis pas très fan de la littérature fantastique, un peu à cause des messages sous-jacents philosophiques et politiques dans des histoires que J'ai lu/vu de ce genre et à cause de la répétition de l'univers visuel et des histoires. Mais Je dois avouer que l'univers "Tolkienien" a un charme irrésistible et ces temps-ci Je suis un peu attiré par cet univers. Donc l'autre jour J'ai un peu amusé autour de l'univers fantastique.

Les Liaisons Dangereuses / Dangerous Liaisons

Bu fikir aklıma 2011 Van depreminden sonra bazı yaratıkların nefret dolu yorumlar yapmaya başlamasının ardından geldi. Yine de bir genelleme yapıyormuş gibi olmaktan çekindiğim için çizmedim. Daha sonra nefret dolu mesajların kesilmemesi, deprem vergilerinin politik çıkarlar için başka yerlerde kullanıldığının ortaya çıkması (ki çoğumuz için şaşırtıcı bir haber değil) ve siyasi olsun olmasın bir sürü organizasyonun çıkar ve kar peşinde akbabalar gibi olayın üstüne üşüşmesi üzerine çizmeden duramayacağımı anladım. Çizime başlarken benim kafamda bu illüstrasyon sadece doğuya küçümseme ve öfkeyle bakan milliyetçi küçük burjuva batılı grupla ilgiliydi, o yüzden kağıt bayrağı uzatan eli sivil olduğu belli olacak şekilde çizmeye başladım. Daha sonra bu illüstrasyonun aslında benim kafamdaki birey-devlet ilişkisini yansıttığını farkedince sivil olduğunun altı çizilen kolu hem devleti hem de sistemin kaymağını yiyen orta-büyük burjuva sınıfları aynı anda temsil edebilecek bir şekilde bir daha çizdim.

Çıkış noktam Van depremi olsa da aslında bu illüstrasyonu Van Depremi bağlamının dışında bütün dünyadaki birey-devlet ilişkisi ve aynı zamanda herhangi bir ulus devlet bünyesindeki değişik sosyal sınıfların ilişkisi üzerine bir tespit olarak görüyorum.

J'ai dessine cette illustration apres le seisme de Van. Mais c'est plutot une illustration sur la relation de l'etat et l'individu et aussi sur la relation de certaines classes sociaux dans un etat national.
